Havan
Nakshatra ruled by Mercury and Ketu namely - Ashlesha, Moola, Revati, Jyestha and Ashwini are called Gand Mool Nakshatra. If the natal Moon in the horoscope of a child is one of these Nakshatras, the child is said to be born in a Gand Mool Nakshatras.
According to astrologers, child born in these Nakshatras is inauspicious and various obstacles and problems in life. Therefore on the 27th day after birth some remedial Poojas should be performed. This Pooja can also be performed on first birthday as per Nakshatra or any month on same or friendly Nakshatra day, at any age, if not performed within 27 days.
Some are also of the view that newly born child is inauspicious to the near relatives like maternal uncle, father, mother, etc.
Some of the people who were born in the Gand Mool Nakshatras and rose to great heights in their lives are Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, and Dev Anand etc.
Hence anything to be done should have been done properly with all rituals, jaap and bath/snana. Since pooja is done once in lifetime and should be repeated only if not done properly the first time.
